Standard Hunting Dog Trial (SJP)
The hunting dog trials are designed to allow dogs to take a proficiency test at the end of the training season, to be evaluated by an official judge. In simple terms, you’ll be tested on the following areas:
C-parts:
- Walking off-leash and on a leash
- Obeying Orders
- Staying in the designated area
- Retrieving on Land
- Retrieving from the Water
B-parts:
If, on this day, you have achieved a passing grade on all tests in the C and B sections and have also achieved a passing grade on the two tests mentioned above, you will receive an A diploma.
